We provide emotional support and advocacy to female asylum seekers who have experienced sexual violence (including forced marriage, honour-based violence, and FGM), no matter if it happened in the UK or outside of the UK, and no matter if it happened recently or a long time ago.

Greater Glasgow Domestic Abuse Investigation Unit (Police Scotland)

Unit trained on Honour Based Violence (HBV), Forced Marriage (FM) and Female Genital Mutiliation (FGM). Services: support, risk management, safety advice, investigation of any related crimes and reports to Procurator Fiscal, referrals to partner agencies and charities for longer term help. Al-Meezan

Non-profit, non-political organisation dedicated to the promotion and development of Islamic learning for women, children and youth. Established in 1998 by a small team of dedicated individuals, today Al-Meezan provides Islamic education to over 600 women, children and teenagers in Glasgow and surrounding areas.

United Glasgow Football Club

Using football as a catalyst for discussions around immigration, race, gender, sexual orientation and poverty. Three men’s & one women’s 11-a-side team, both men and women’s drop-in sessions, education days for players, a student society at Glasgow University. Free sessions and football kit and boots can be loaned to players.

Scottish Sports Futures

Using inclusive sport and physical activity as a tool, we offer young people from deprived areas transformative ways to learn about physical and mental wellbeing, goal setting, teamwork and active citizenship. Recent funding from Spirit 2012 to engage BAME (Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic) girls within our sessions.

Social enterprise and registered charity, based in Glasgow, which supports individuals who have mild to moderate mental health issues, like stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues or overall low mood, through one to one counselling, personal development workshops and training for young people and adults.
