Ice and Fire Theatre

Exploration of human rights stories through performance to draw public attention to contemporary human rights themes. We work with campaigning groups, employers, schools, conference organisers and statutory bodies to bring the first-hand accounts of asylum seekers and refugees to life and encourage solidarity and deeper understanding.

The Children’s Society

We support separated asylum seeking and refugee young people aged 16-21 some of whom may be at risk of destitution. We provide case work, advice and advocacy support.  We work in Greater London.

St Mungo’s, Westminster Street Outreach Service (SOS)

Dozens of projects for the homeless. Outreach contract for rough sleepers for Westminster Council. Shifts on the streets to interact with rough sleepers and assist them into accommodation and provide full advice and casework support in the areas of alcohol/substances misuse, domestic violence, and immigration advice.

African Refugee Community

Integrated psycho-social assistance to African Asylum seekers and refugees: Advice and guidance on immigration, education, employment, housing, welfare and benefits. In addition we run groups related to the rehabilitation and integration matters, outreach activities and visits to our vulnerable clients. We refer service users to local voluntary and statutory agencies.

Off The Record Youth Counselling - Compass Project

Refugee & Asylum Seeker counselling Service for asylum seekers and forced migrants aged between 11 - 25, helping with feelings and thoughts management over issues like trauma, loss, self-harm, suicide, anxiety, isolation and sleep problems. Training for Professionals about young refugees, asylum seekers and forced migrants mental health difficulties.

Legal support, advice and advocacy including immigration casework up to OISC Level 2. Asylum support help. Generalist welfare benefits & housing support. Practical, social, cultural support. Weekly independent food bank and destitution service for those with NRPF. BHCC Syrian Vulnerable Persons’ Resettlement Programme.

Refugee Radio

We run a weekly mental-health support group for refugees and other vulnerable migrants. We provide a casework and welfare benefits advice/advocacy project. We also produce radio programmes on refugee issues.

Migrant and Refugee Solidarity (University of Brighton)

Network of staff and students at the University of Brighton, raising awareness as to the causes of migration and refuge-seeking, while fighting back racism and xenophobia, supporting activist groups, and facilitating communication among local, national and international solidarity initiatives.

Centre for Good Relations

Community Interest Company promoting civic mediation as a tool for addressing conflict issues in the short and long term within and between communities and agencies. Training, civic diplomacy and research. Previous work involved Councils, the Police and schools for short term tension management, and longer term agreements.

TCV Scotland

Provision of facilitated workshop, outing or training course, to help discover the magic of nature and grow confidence in enjoying the outdoors. Activities involve recording what we find (insects, birds, trees), growing plants, enjoying a nature walk, learning some forest skills or simply facilitating a group picnic. Facebook: TCV Scotland

Shetland Islands Council, Adult Learning

Provide English for Speakers of other language classes at a range of levels. Classes include all aspects of English language study – reading, writing, speaking, listening and grammar. Classes are free.

Perth & Kinross Adult Literacy & Numeracy

Partnership of agencies providing free and confidential service regarding education, training, or skills development, through one to one support, small groups, regular drop-ins. Support also to English speakers of other languages, young people, parents and carers, people with disabilities and/or learning difficulties, people in work or training

Perth Citizens Advice Bureau

Free, confidential, impartial and independent information, advice and assistance on a wide range of enquiry areas (benefits, Money Advice, housing, employment) in our office and an outreach advice service. Opening times: Monday - Friday, 10am - 12 noon drop in, 1pm - 4pm appointments.
