Help and support for new Bangladeshi people to Dundee. Cultural activities and parties for two Eid festivals and other events. Monthly meetings with community members. Fundraising for disaster appeals. Regular sports activities.

Yusuf Youth Initiative

YYI is a ‘Future Leaders’ programme - providing young people with the skills and experience to become effective leaders. YYI is a social enterprise - a model of generating wealth for a social good. Increasing opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship YYI is a ‘value based’ engagement programme. Inter-faith/community dialogue doesn’t have to be boring & mundane. A series of exciting projects to promote core human values of compassion, justice & equality.

Dumfries and Galloway Multicultural Association

In June 2003 a number of minority ethnic community leaders, who wanted to raise the profile of diversity and the different cultures in the area, created Dumfries and Galloway Multicultural Association (DGMA).
 
  It is an organisation open to all members of ethnic, religious and cultural minority communities in our region as well as organisations and individuals keen to promote the aims of the Association.
 
  It’s there to help people to integrate into Scottish society and play their full part.
 
  It also works to prevent discrimination and to make everyone aware of the benefits of diverse cultures living together in South West Scotland.

Chinese Christian Church

The Church has weekly Sunday worships at 2.00 pm in Cantonese, English and Mandarin. Members comprise local residents, overseas students and professionals.

Aberdeen Synagogue and Jewish Community Centre

We are a Jewish community based in Aberdeen, serving the Grampian region and the North East of Scotland. Although our numbers may be small, we are a thriving community; sadly without a permanent rabbi, but we do host a series of social, cultural and religious events throughout the year. Visitors are always welcome to our shul, and indeed on many occasions visitors have helped us make a minyan.

Polish Sunny School

Our school has lessons in the Polish language, Polish history and geography for Polish children at the primary level. Children also have lessons in mathematics and art and music classes. In addition, we have additional English language classes for parents of our children and Polish language for Scottish Community and other nationalities. The International Centre carries out its work by listening to people and providing information, advice and support. It also refers people to other organisations and helps them to build confidence and access funding. The group runs various training sessions, and organises Open Day events, including English language classes, exercise classes and childcare training. 24 hour answering machine Central location (1st floor next to the Citizens Advice Bureau).

Flüchtlinge Willkommen (“Refugees Welcome”)

Platform conneecting refugees with locals who are willing to share their living space, in form of a traditional flatsharing arrangement, in a family context, with a single parent, or maybe a single person who has extra space available in their home. Key aspect: some form of cohabitation.

Starfish Foundation -Asterias A.M.K.E

Moral counselling and practical help (education, information, training) to vulnerable people and groups of people who temporarily or permanently residing in Lesvos or elsewhere, and generally people or groups who are socially excluded or at risk. Awareness-raising events: minars, workshops, working groups, cultural events.

Penrith and Eden Refugee Network

Network of local people who work to raise awareness of refugees locally and globally. We support refugees in our own community as good neighbours. We don’t supply statutory services. Our project #PenrithWelcomesRefugees supports adult refugees with leave to remain in the UK to settle in Penrith.

Nothingham & Nottinghamshire Refugee Forum

Support, information, advice (legal, money advice), interpreting services, classes and community events for newly arrived individuals and families, to help with resettlement and against destitution.

Room to Heal

We are a therapeutic community offering mixed gender group psychotherapy (which is the core of our service). Alongside this we also offer casework support, and other activities such as therapeutic gardening. We are not a drop in service and require people to be referred or self-referred.

Star and Shadow Cinema

Alternative social, cultural, arts and community hub run by a collective of volunteers.Programming of film, music, discussions by grass roots community organisations, independent artists and any member of the public. We provide the space and facilities.

Women’s Therapy Centre

Individual and group psychotherapy to all women, regardless of sexual orientation, disability, cultural or social background, immigrant status, previous psychatric history or age. Commitment to women whose needs might not otherwise be met elsewhere or who would not usually have access to therapy.

Ella’s Home

Community-based safe house offerring long-term accommodation and outreach support to female survivors of trafficking and sexual exploitation. Services include healthcare, counselling, access to education, support into employment and assistance to reside in the UK or safe repatriation to their country of origin

Salusbury World Refugee Centre

We offer support with: housing, benefits, into work (CVs, volunteering, university, employment), after school and holiday clubs for 6 to 11 year olds, mentoring and holiday club for teenages, ESOL, Immigration advice (OISC Level 1)

Lewisham Refugee and Migrant Network

Advice on immigration (OISC level 3), housing and welfare, health, education and debt. Training and employment support, including volunteering, counselling and therapeutic activities for women who experienced gender-based violence. Addtional: ESOL, Literacy, Sewing and Knitting classes. Food parcel and a small amount of money provided to destitute clients.
