Mauritius Cultural Association

The organisation focuces on helping and supporting the Mauritian community in Scotland, providing a resource base, facilitating access to public services, promoting understanding of Mauritian culture, arts, history and music, organising workshops on Mauritian arts, culture and music.

Multi-Cultural Family Base

Work with families, including new migrants and from BME communities, who are experiencing difficulties: housing, financial, personal like discrimination or emotional concerns. We offer therapeutic or social support. Also a social work teaching centre, which offer placements to students at Scottish universities. Opening times: Weekdays 9am-5pm

Pakistan Society Edinburgh

Information and advice on issues such as : Immigration, Health, Social Benefits, Employment, Education and Housing. We can complete or assist in filling forms such as: Immigration, Benefits, Pakistani Id card, Passport as well as attestation of documants and translation. Opening hours: Mon-Thur 10.30-2.30pm. Immigration Surgery every second Tuesday.

Amina – the Muslim Women’s Resource Centre

Advocacy: enhancing understanding of the Muslim community and barriers preventing Muslim women from accessing services and participating in society. Campaigns against negative stereotypes and violence against women. Services to Muslim women: Counselling, befriending, helpline, short breaks for carers, skills/capacity building. Izzy’s Promise

Izzy’s Promise is a not for profit organisation which provides support and information for survivors of ritual and organised abuse, or any agencies who work with survivors. The organisation has a Scotland wide remit. Opening hours: Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm

Dundee Carers Centre

BME service ensuring accessible information and services to carers and disabled people through the work of multilingual Development Workers. They provide: home visits, information in community languages, signposting to our services, benefits checks, form filling, 1 on 1 support, monthly groups, training and events.

Black and Minority Ethnic Service

Information and services accessible to carers and disabled people from minority ethnic communities through multilingual Development Workers and a Welfare Rights Officer. Home visits; Interpretation, advocacy; Information in community languages; Signposting to services & agencies; benefits checks; form filling; 1-to-1 support; monthly groups; training, events.

Wellbeing Scotland

Providing confidential support to individuals and families affected by the impact of childhood abuse, working with all ages and all genders. Counselling/support work, befriending, groupwork, advocacy support, training consultancy and awareness raising.

Amnesty International (Aberdeen Group)

We are the local Amnesty group in the Aberdeen area. We meet on the second Wednesday of each month (except August), from 7:30 - 9-30 pm. We campaign for human rights, raise funds through events and collection & collaborate with other local campaigning groups.

Minority Ethnic Housing Project

Guidance, free advice and support to people from Ethnic Minority communities on housing/homelessness, benefits, rights and entitlement, money and debt related issues. Support is additionally offered to support clients in completing formal appeals and liaising with external agencies. Language Support is also available.

Yorkhill Housing Association

Yorkhill Housing Association Ltd is a small community based organisation with charitable status operating in the West End of Glasgow. It was first established in 1977 by a group of local residents who were anxious to improve the standard of local homes with the assistance of significant grant funding from central and local governments.

Today the Association owns 456 tenement flats and manages a further 506 units on behalf of owners. It is still managed by a voluntary committee of local residents and interested parties elected by the membership. The area of operations is compact, stretching west between Argyle Street at Kelvinhaugh Street and Argyle Street at Bunhouse Road.

Yoker Housing Association

Yoker Housing Association Ltd is a Registered Social Landlord operating in Yoker in the West of Glasgow. The Association’s main aim is to help sustain the community of Yoker through the provision of good quality, affordable housing and housing related services to those in the greatest housing need.

The Association’s properties are primarily located along the Dumbarton Road corridor.

The Association has approximately:

270 one bedroom properties
230 two bedroom properties
110 three bedroom properties
20 four bedroom properties

Wishaw & District Housing Association

Our primary social rented offer includes general needs housing for households of all ages and housing for older people. In addition, we provide some mid-market homes and shared ownership. We also act as a property manager for homeowners and sharing owners in areas where we have an interest.

Wishaw and District Housing manages just under 1000 general needs rented homes with a further 40 co-owned homes and a factoring service provided to almost 400 households. The housing stock is spread tightly across North Lanarkshire with over half the stock in and around Wishaw with other stock within the areas of Pather, Craigneuk, Flemington, Muirhouse, Newmains, Shotts and Harthill.

Williamsburgh Housing Association

Williamsburgh Housing Association is one of the largest Housing Associations in Renfrewshire.

Williamsburgh initially set up to co-ordinate the improvement of sub-tolerable tenements in the east end of Paisley, the Association’s role has developed and expanded and we now provide over 1639 homes to our community.

Our 40+ year history has seen our organisation mature into a key player in building homes and communities by providing quality housing for rent, and injecting millions of pounds into the local economy through our housing management, development, and maintenance work.

Whiteinch & Scotstoun Housing Association

Whiteinch & Scotstoun Housing Association Ltd. is a Charity Registered in Scotland, registered with the Financial Conduct Authority and the Scottish Housing Regulator, and controlled by a Committee of Management which includes local tenants and home owners.

We now have just over 1300 properties for rent.  We have a variety of housing types located in Whiteinch and Scotstoun.
