Compass Mental Health Liaison Team

Compass is dedicated to building the capacity of mental health services to provide culturally-sensitive healthcare for asylum seekers and refugees, through advice and consultation to primary and secondary care health services, direct therapeutic interventions, collaboration with other agencies, and policy advocacy work.

Equal Access (Health in Mind)

Support (peer to peer, raising awareness) for men and women from BME communities, who are experiencing poor mental health and wellbeing, feelings of stress or isolation, through improved access to local community groups, activities and organisations, a greater sense of belonging within their local community.

Evesham Vale Welcomes Refugees

We are a small but proactive charity based in Evesham & covering Pershore & all surrounding villages. We support all those seeking sanctuary in our area. We have a small Support Hub where we distribute clothing, SIM cards & other goods, provide information & advice & refer on to other relevant agencies. We provide several different levels of ESOL weekly & also Maths lessons for those wanting to access further or higher education. We assist with obtaining volunteering opportunities & employment where that is allowed. We support people to obtain housing, claim benefits & access bank accounts once Leave to Remain is in place. We organise social activities & outings & support children & young people to access & progress in education.

FENIKS Counselling, Personal Development

Feniks is an Edinburgh-based charity, established in 2007, with a mission to support integration and well-being of Central and Eastern European individuals in Edinburgh. Feniks has been providing counselling and therapy sessions, trainings, support groups, personal development workshops, language café and a mum-and-toddler group. The organisation has also been involved in projects around depression and suicide prevention, integration and community development in co-operation with external partners.

Glasgow Psychological Trauma Service NHS GG&C

Psychological interventions for clients with moderate to severe mental health difficulties stemming from a history of trauma. Multidisciplinary team providing group and individual treatments that will lessen Complex Post traumatic Stress Disorder. Referrals by GP, or caseworkers, social worker, mid wives etc. No self referrals. Advice and signposting.

Health in Mind is a charity promoting positive mental health and wellbeing in Scotland. We offer a range of services across Edinburgh, the Lothians and the Borders and run the national Trauma Counselling Line Scotland.

Off The Record Youth Counselling - Compass Project

Refugee & Asylum Seeker counselling Service for asylum seekers and forced migrants aged between 11 - 25, helping with feelings and thoughts management over issues like trauma, loss, self-harm, suicide, anxiety, isolation and sleep problems. Training for Professionals about young refugees, asylum seekers and forced migrants mental health difficulties.

Room to Heal

We are a therapeutic community offering mixed gender group psychotherapy (which is the core of our service). Alongside this we also offer casework support, and other activities such as therapeutic gardening. We are not a drop in service and require people to be referred or self-referred.

Saheliya

Specialist mental health and well-being support organisation for BME, asylum seeker, refugee and migrant women and girls (12+).
